Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Signs Niccolo Baroni for 2026-27 Season

Ole Miss men’s tennis coach Jake Jacoby announced the signing of Niccolo Baroni on Wednesday, as part of the team’s effort to reload for the 2026-27 season. Jacoby praised Baroni’s work ethic and positive influence, saying he is “an incredible tennis player and an even better person.”

The Italian native from Viareggio will transfer after two seasons at Mississippi State, where he contributed to a team that reached the NCAA quarterfinals this year. As a freshman, Baroni earned Second Team All-SEC and All-SEC Freshman Team honors, according to Ole Miss athletics.

Baroni joins a roster that includes other transfer additions such as Igor Kudriashov, Moritz Kudernatsch, and Mason Landreth, along with returning players Stefano D’Agostino, Pietro Pampanin, Vlado Jankanj, and Kai Milburn. The Rebels’ current lineup features eight student-athletes for the upcoming season, which begins in the fall.

Ole Miss officials stated they are excited to welcome Baroni, whose international experience and collegiate accolades are expected to bolster the team’s prospects. The university encourages fans to follow the Rebels on social media for updates, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts dedicated to men’s tennis.
