Ole Miss to Open 2026 Football Season Against Charlotte on Sept. 12

The University of Mississippi announced that its 2026 football season will start with a home game against Charlotte on Sept. 12. The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 p.m. Central Time at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

This matchup marks the first-ever meeting between Ole Miss and Charlotte. The game will be broadcast live on either ESPN2 or SEC Network, according to the university.

Ole Miss’s seven-game home schedule for the season also includes games against LSU on Sept. 19, Missouri on Oct. 17, Auburn on Oct. 31, Georgia on Nov. 7, Wofford on Nov. 21, and the annual Battle for the Golden Egg against Mississippi State on Nov. 27.

The schedule release also highlights key matchups and kickoff times for the upcoming season, which features a mix of SEC and non-conference opponents at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
