Ole Miss Men’s Basketball Receives NABC Academic Excellence Award

The University of Mississippi men’s basketball team was recognized for academic achievement by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The Rebels received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2024-25 academic year, marking the third consecutive season they have earned the honor, the organization announced Wednesday.

To qualify for the award, programs must finish the academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Seven Ole Miss players — Zach Day, Malik Dia, Hobert Grayson IV, Koren Johnson, Eduardo Klafke, Travis Perry, and James Scott — were named to the NABC Honors Court, which recognizes individual student-athletes for their academic success.

Craig Robinson, NABC executive director, praised student-athletes for excelling both on the court and in the classroom. “Education is one of the NABC’s core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport,” he said.

More than 2,300 players earned spots on the Honors Court, and over 400 programs received the Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025-26 season. Ole Miss season ticket renewals for 2026-27 began July 1, with new tickets available at OleMissTix.com.
