Ole Miss Freshman Stefano D’Agostino Named to All-SEC Second Team

Ole Miss men’s tennis player Stefano D’Agostino has been named to the All-SEC Second Team, the Southeastern Conference announced Thursday. It marks the first postseason award for D’Agostino and the first All-SEC honor for Ole Miss men’s tennis since Nikola Slavic and John Hallquist Lithén in 2024.

Head coach Jake Jacoby praised D’Agostino’s performance this season. “Stefano definitely earned this honor,” Jacoby said. “He only improved as the spring went on. It was great to have him as our number one player, and several other guys on the team had strong seasons as well.”

D’Agostino led Ole Miss in singles this year, posting 13 wins, including 12 in dual matches. He also defeated three ranked opponents. In doubles, he compiled 11 wins, with six coming in SEC play and three against ranked doubles teams. His efforts earned him a career-high singles ranking of No. 77 and a doubles ranking of No. 55 with teammate Pietro Pampanin.

The Rebels await their postseason fate as the NCAA Tournament field of 64 teams will be announced April 27 at 4 p.m. CT on NCAA.com. Ole Miss’s season continues as they aim to qualify for the national championship, with hopes bolstered by D’Agostino’s performances.

The SEC also announced other award recipients, including Jacob Vrba and Hamza Nasridinov on the first team and several other freshmen and players from across the conference. Ole Miss will look to build on this success as they prepare for the upcoming NCAA Tournament and next season.
