Ole Miss’ Dia and Storr to Play in 2026 Portsmouth Invitational
PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Ole Miss basketball players Malik Dia and AJ Storr will compete in the 72nd annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which begins April 15 at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia.
The event features some of the top professional basketball prospects in the nation. Past alumni include Scottie Pippen, Jimmy Butler, John Stockton, Dennis Rodman, and Tim Hardaway, among others. The tournament runs through April 18, with each of the eight teams playing three games.
Dia, a senior, played all 35 games for Ole Miss this season. He averaged 14.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, finishing second on the team in scoring and leading in rebounds. He posted four double-doubles and scored 70 points during the SEC Tournament, helping Ole Miss reach the semifinals.
Storr, also a senior, led Ole Miss in scoring at 15.5 points per game, including 17.5 in conference play. He played a key role in the Rebels’ run to the SEC Tournament semifinals, scoring a total of 78 points at the event, the 10th-most in SEC history for a single tournament.
Both players will make their debut at the tournament, with Dia scheduled to play on April 15 at 7 p.m. CT and Storr on April 16 at 7 p.m. CT.
