Mississippi State Soccer Exports 11 Pros Ahead of 2026-27 Season

Mississippi State University has produced 11 former Bulldogs currently competing professionally, making it one of the top exporters of soccer talent in recent years, according to school officials.

Four of those players have signed with new clubs for the 2026-27 season. Among them are two in the USL Super League, including teammates Kennedy White and Ally Perry, and two in Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil, Ilana Izquierdo and Aitana Martinez-Montoya.

Most recently, Maddy Anderson signed with Dallas Trinity of the USL Super League in July after playing for Racing Lens in France. Anderson will face Kennedy White’s Tampa Bay Sun in the season opener Saturday night. Anderson previously played at State from 2021-22 and reconnected with former teammate Juliet Moore.

Rylie Combs has been competing for Eskilstuna United in Sweden’s Damallsvenskan, where the team sits fifth in the standings with 17 points. Macey Hodge has been with Racing Louisville FC of the National Women’s Soccer League, making four appearances in July before suffering an arm injury. She has appeared in 15 matches this season.

Other Bulldogs abroad include Ilana Izquierdo at Tigres UANL in Mexico, Aitana Martinez-Montoya at Atlas FC, and Ruthny Mathurin at Alhama Club de Futbol in Spain. Several players, such as Gwen Mummert, Catalina Perez, and Kennedy White, are starting new chapters with teams in Germany, France, and the United States, respectively. White was named one of six newcomers to watch by the USL league.

Mississippi State’s soccer program continues to develop professional talent, with the 2026-27 season scheduled to begin Saturday. The Bulldogs’ social media accounts can be followed for updates under the handle “HailStateSOC.”
