Mississippi State University has seen a steady flow of professional baseball talent over the years. In 2026, 51 former Bulldogs are active in the sport, including eight in Major League Baseball, according to sources familiar with the program.
Among the current major leaguers are All-Stars Adam Frazier, Brent Rooker, Jordan Westburg, and Brandon Woodruff. Nathaniel Lowe, a World Series champion, also plays in the majors. MSU has produced 72 major leaguers, 13 All-Stars, and seven World Series winners throughout its history, along with 21 first-round draft picks.
Details on some of these players include Justin Foscue of Texas, who has a .261 batting average and recently homered twice against Oakland. Adam Frazier, with the Los Angeles Angels, is hitting .245 and has a .680 OPS. Nathaniel Lowe of Cleveland homered and drove in three runs on Aug. 30. Brent Rooker, with Oakland, will miss the remainder of the season following knee surgery, and Jordan Westburg of Baltimore is sidelined after Tommy John surgery.
Other Bulldogs continue to compete in minor leagues, with several making impacts at various levels. Konnor Pilkington and Landon Sims are among those in Triple-A, while K.C. Hunt and Cade Smith are in Double-A. Several players are on injured or restricted lists, including Kheiron Stewart, Drew Wyers, and Kloee Harrell.
