Mississippi State Men’s Tennis Signs Dutch Prospect Pepijn Bastiaansen
STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State men’s tennis head coach Matt Roberts announced the signing of Dutch international Pepijn Bastiaansen on Monday. Bastiaansen joins the Bulldogs’ roster for the 2026-27 season.
The 20-year-old from Tilburg, Netherlands, is regarded as one of the top international prospects in his class. He has achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 952 and a top ITF Junior ranking of No. 576, according to the university.
Bastiaansen has competed on the ITF professional circuit, earning notable results such as winning a 15K doubles title in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland, and reaching the singles final at a 15K event in Pretoria, South Africa. His international experience against professional opponents adds to his profile.
On the junior circuit, he claimed a doubles title at the J4 Heiveld tournament alongside Mees Rottgering and regularly faced top junior players worldwide. His diverse background complements Mississippi State’s competitive program, which has seen recent success in NCAA tournaments and SEC play.
