Mississippi Christian University Athletics Kick Off 2026 Season This Week

Clinton, Miss. — Mississippi Christian University Athletics launched its 2026 regular season this week, with volleyball, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer all competing in their opening games.

The volleyball team opened its season Friday at the Dallas Classic in Texas. The Choctaws faced Biola University at 9 a.m. CT, followed by matches against Colorado Mesa at 4:30 p.m., Nebraska Kearney at 10 a.m. Saturday, and host Dallas Baptist University at 3 p.m. The four-match weekend marked the start of the volleyball team’s season, with all games played in Dallas, Texas.

Men’s soccer began Thursday with a match at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. The Choctaws faced the Fighting Knights at 3 p.m. CT and continued their trip with a game Sunday at 11 a.m. CT against Lynn. Both matches took place in Boca Raton.

Women’s soccer kicked off its season Thursday at home, hosting Emmanuel College at Robert P. Longabaugh Field in Clinton. The Lady Choctaws also hosted Dallas Baptist University on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT. Both games were held at the university’s campus.

With these three programs starting their seasons, Mississippi Christian Athletics officially begins the 2026-27 campaign with seven contests across volleyball, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer, marking a busy start to the academic year’s athletic schedule.
