Millsaps Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule with 28 Matches
The Millsaps College volleyball team unveiled its full schedule for the 2026 season, which includes 28 matches. The schedule was finalized after one of the team’s opponents canceled its campaign, according to the Millsaps College Department of Athletics.
The Majors will open the season with two scrimmages before hosting Belhaven University on Sept. 1 at Rugg Arena. The team aims to improve upon its recent 10-match winning streak against the Blazers.
Millsaps will then travel to Belton, Texas, for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Tournament. There, they will face four NCAA Division III opponents, including Carroll University and Alverno College on Sept. 4, and Texas Lutheran University and Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sept. 5.
The team will host the Millsaps/Belhaven Invitational on Sept. 11-12 at the Hangar Dome, with matches against Centenary College, Principia College, LeTourneau University, and Huntingdon College. Last season, the Majors won all four matches at their invitational.
Following a home match against the United States Sports University on Sept. 18, Millsaps will open conference play at the Sewanee Quad Match on Sept. 26-27, facing Sewanee and Maryville College in Tennessee. The team will then compete in October against several regional opponents, including Trinity University, Southwestern University, Oglethorpe University, Rhodes College, and others.
The regular season concludes with road matches in Texas and Tennessee, including contests against Trinity, Southwestern, Berry College, and Centre College. The final home matches are scheduled for Nov. 7 against Rhodes College and Belhaven University, before the postseason.
The team aims to qualify for the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Volleyball Championship, hosted by Trinity University from Nov. 12 to 14. The top six teams in the standings will earn spots in the tournament in San Antonio, Texas, with the champion crowned on Nov. 14.
