Millsaps’ Elyse Warren Named SAA Woman of the Year

CANTON, Ga. — Elyse Warren of Millsaps College has been named the Southern Athletic Association’s Woman of the Year for the 2025-26 academic year, the conference announced Monday.

The award was decided by a vote from SAA athletic directors following a conference-wide selection process. Warren is recognized for her excellence in academics, athletics, service, and leadership.

Warren’s achievement marks a historic milestone for Millsaps College, as she becomes the first student-athlete in school history to receive the conference’s top honor, according to the SAA.

She has had a distinguished athletic and academic career, highlighted by her leadership on the court and her commitment to service and scholarship, the conference added.
