Michael Ward to Lead Mississippi Coaches Tennis Clinic in 2026

Clinton, Miss. — Michael Ward, head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Mississippi Christian University, has been chosen to headline the 2026 Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) Tennis Clinic. The event is scheduled for July 8 as part of the organization’s annual coaching clinic.

Ward will address tennis coaches from across the state, sharing insights on building successful programs, developing players, and cultivating a championship culture. The clinic serves as a professional development opportunity and features some of Mississippi’s top tennis leaders.

“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to speak to coaches from around our state,” Ward said. “I’m thankful to the Mississippi Association of Coaches and USTA Mississippi for the invitation and look forward to sharing ideas that have helped our program continue to grow.”

Ward has transformed the Choctaw tennis teams into consistent Gulf South Conference contenders and helped elevate the program’s reputation. His selection as the keynote speaker reflects the respect he has earned within the Mississippi tennis community. It also underscores the rising profile of MC’s tennis program, which continues to thrive under his leadership.

During the 2026 season, both the men’s and women’s teams at MC competed among the top programs in the conference. They produced all-conference performers and gained momentum for future success. The program remains one of the Gulf South Conference’s emerging tennis powers.
