Jackson, Miss. — Jones College freshman pitcher and infielder Brayson Graham has received the MACCC Pitcher of the Week award for the second time this season, according to the conference. He was also named the NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Week on Thursday.
Graham, a 6-foot-4 player from Wayne County, pitched six scoreless innings at No. 1 Pearl River, helping the Bobcats to a 2-1 victory that advanced them to the championship game of the Poplarville Regional. He allowed only two hits and struck out seven in a no-decision. Graham also contributed offensively by hitting a two-run home run in a 13-0 win over Pearl River in the title game.
Previously, Graham earned POTW honors on April 14 after tossing a five-inning no-hitter in a 14-0 win at Copiah-Lincoln. For the season, he has a 5-2 record with 71 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched, according to the school.
