Hinds’ Abigail McLean Earns MACCC Honorable Mention
RAYMOND, Miss. — Hinds Community College freshman Abigail McLean received honorable mention recognition on the MACCC Softball Team, highlighting her versatile performance during the 2026 season.
McLean made a significant impact both on the mound and at the plate for the Lady Eagles. She finished with an 11-7 record in 25 appearances, including 23 starts, with a 3.09 ERA over 113.2 innings. The pitcher struck out 106 batters and held opponents to a .190 batting average, often providing quality starts against top competition.
At the plate, McLean contributed offensively with a .360 batting average, 46 hits, 13 doubles, two home runs, and 31 RBIs. She posted a .504 slugging percentage and a .433 on-base percentage, helping lead the Eagles’ lineup during conference play.
Hinds finished the season with a 33-17 record, the program’s highest win total since 2006. The Lady Eagles secured 33 victories during the year, marking a successful season for the team.
