BMCU Golfers Cobey Riddle, Alex Nordstrom Earn NAIA All-American Honors

Kansas City, Mo. — Blue Mountain Christian University men’s golf players Cobey Riddle and Alex Nordstrom have been named to the NAIA Second Team All-American list, following impressive sophomore campaigns, according to university officials.

Riddle and Nordstrom played key roles in maintaining the Toppers’ top 15 national ranking throughout the season. Both finished among the top 25 individual players in the NAIA, with Nordstrom ranked 22nd and Riddle 24th, based on Clippd rankings.

Riddle opened his season with a victory at the Coastal Georgia Men’s Fall Invitational and maintained consistent performance with four top-10 finishes. He also represented the team at the NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship, finishing 15th individually among the top golfers in the nation.

Nordstrom recorded seven top-10 finishes this season. His best performance was at the Carey Collegiate, where he finished seven strokes under par. During that event, he shot a historic 65 on a par-71 course, setting a new program record for Blue Mountain Christian.

“As a coach, moments like this are incredibly rewarding because you know the journey behind it,” said Head Coach Kevin Barefield. “Alex and Cobey have worked tirelessly to put themselves in this position, and I’m just really proud of them. They competed at a very high level all year, but more importantly, they led our team with consistency, humility, and heart. To earn NAIA Second-Team All-American honors at this level says a lot about who they are and the season they put together. They are both incredibly deserving of this recognition.”
