Alcorn State to Host Celebrity Golf Event Featuring Donald Driver

Alcorn State University is hosting the “Celebrity Toast and Tee” golf outing on August 28 at The Refuge Golf Course in Flowood, Mississippi. The event features NFL Hall of Famer Donald Driver, a Super Bowl XLV champion and Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame receiver.

All proceeds from the event support Alcorn Athletics. Registration is open for individual golfers and foursomes through the event’s website. The shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m. Central Daylight Time. Participants can also enjoy golf lessons, an awards ceremony, dinner buffet, and photo opportunities with Driver and other notable alumni and dignitaries.

The official after-party begins at 7 p.m. at the nearby Sheraton Flowood The Refuge. Event organizers encourage early sign-up, citing limited spots. Alcorn Athletic Director E. D’Wayne Robinson emphasized the event’s significance ahead of the university’s football opener against Miles College.
