Former North Mississippi football standout in running for major postseason awards
The name of today’s game on offense is exsplosion: the ability to take the ball from anywhere on the field and score. Explosive plays are one of the best indicators of team success.
There are very few players in the county as explosive as current ULM Warhawk and former North Pontotoc Viking Marcus Green.
Green is one of five finalists for the very prestigious Hornung Award, given to the nations most versatile player as well as the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nations top wide receiver.
Through 9 games this season, Green has caught 36 passes for 688 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also has a punt return touchdown.
His four scoring plays this season of 69 or more yards leads the nation.
