Ole Miss’s Vlado Jankanj Advances to ITF Fayetteville Round of 16

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Ole Miss men’s tennis player Vlado Jankanj has advanced to the round of 16 at the ITF M15 Fayetteville tournament.

The sophomore defeated Vanderbilt’s Pablo Martinez Gomez in straight sets, winning 6-3 in each. Jankanj controlled the match throughout, earning his victory Wednesday.

Jankanj is scheduled to return to the court Thursday at 9 a.m. CT for the next round. The tournament continues as part of Ole Miss’s fall schedule.

The Rebels are actively competing in multiple events this fall, including the Black and Gold Invitational on Oct. 2 and the ITA Southern Regional on Oct. 9. Follow Ole Miss Men’s Tennis on social media for updates.
