Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Player Vlado Jankanj Wins Opener at ITF Fayetteville Qualifying

Fayetteville, Ark. — Ole Miss men’s tennis sophomore Vlado Jankanj opened qualifying at the ITF M15 Fayetteville with a straight-set win over Arkansas’s Brendan Boland on Monday. Jankanj dominated from the start, winning the first set 6-3 before closing out the match with a 6-1 second set, according to tournament officials.

Jankanj will return to the court Tuesday to compete in the second round of the men’s singles qualifying at the ITF Fayetteville event. The Rebels player is currently competing as part of Ole Miss’s fall tennis schedule, which includes upcoming tournaments and matches.

The ITF Fayetteville tournament is part of the fall schedule for Ole Miss men’s tennis, which also features tournaments such as the Black and Gold Invitational on Oct. 2 and the ITA Southern Regional in October.
