Ole Miss’ Patrick Kutas named SEC offensive lineman of the week
Ole Miss right guard Patrick Kutas was named the Southeastern Conference’s offensive lineman of the week Monday, his second conference weekly honor in three weeks. He made his 23rd career start Saturday as the Rebels scored 45 points in a home victory over Auburn.
Kutas received a 93% grade and recorded 10 knockdowns, according to Ole Miss. The offensive line helped the Rebels gain 224 rushing yards and 487 total yards. Four Ole Miss players scored rushing touchdowns, and the line allowed no sacks for the third straight game.
The Rebels converted 13 of 16 third downs and scored touchdowns on four of five red-zone trips against Auburn. Ole Miss’ 0.63 sacks allowed per game leads the SEC and ranks fourth nationally, the school said.
Ole Miss was scheduled to host No. 2 Georgia at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 6:30 p.m. The game was listed for ABC.
