MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mississippi State volleyball continued its winning streak with a straight-set victory over Memphis on Saturday at the Carrie Yerty Classic. The Bulldogs moved to 7-1 this season after defeating the Tigers in three sets.
Mississippi State opened the match with a dominant first set, hitting .700 and winning 25-7. They also took the second set 25-11 before narrowly winning the third 25-23, completing the sweep.
Bernardita Aguilar led the Bulldogs with 13 kills and registered a .600 hitting percentage, her most efficient outing of the season. She also contributed seven digs and five blocks. Lindsey Mangelson added six kills and seven digs, while Noella Obi recorded six blocks and five kills. Paloma Routaboul finished with five kills.
The Bulldogs will return to action Thursday at the Ragin’ Cajuns Classic, facing Louisiana. They will also play Jackson State on Friday and UT Arlington on Sunday. All matches are streamed on ESPN+, and fans can follow the team on social media via ‘HailStateVB’ on X, Facebook, and Instagram.
