Carly Keats has her eyes set on Jones Community College.

The 5’9″ guard from Neshoba Central signed today with Bobcats. It’s a good thing for a winner like herself to be headed to Winnersville.

The Senior has been receiving all kinds of awards this year and making first team all state on most platforms. We named her 5A girl’s player of the year. She averaged 14.2 ppg, 2 rebs, 2 steals, and 4 assts this season.

As we have said before Carly is a court general. In high school she played more of a point guard role and I expect her to do the same in college.

She rarely makes bad decisions and plays good defense as well. Carly has a nice jumpshot and is deadly from three.

“I am excited to begin this new journey in My basketball career. I feel Jones is the best place for Me. Coach Bilderback and her staff have built a great basketball program with some great players and I feel I will fit in very well.”

Carly sounds very excited about heading to Jones.

More importantly she makes her free throws and has a mid range jumper. Two things that seems to be missing from a lot from younger players these days.

We were able to cover a lot of the Lady Rockets game this past season and Carly never disappointed. Especially with the long range three pointer. I think that is my favorite part of her game.

Keats will bring a winning attitude to the Bobcats that they already have. She will be a big addition to their team. I can see her getting early playing time considering her work ethic and basketball IQ.
