Mississippi University for Women Cross Country Teams Finish 10th at Rhodes Invitational
The Mississippi University for Women cross country teams both finished in 10th place at the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday at Shelby Farms in Memphis, according to school officials.
In the men’s eight-kilometer race, sophomore Jarvis Sellers led MUW with a time of 30:05.90, placing 35th out of 77 runners. Christian Chipilipili finished 57th in 35:30.60, followed by Noel Kellum in 64th at 37:09.31. I’ Monn Hill crossed the line in 42:17.90, and Trevor Davis finished in 49:29.20, completing the Owls’ men’s team results.
In the women’s five-kilometer race, senior Hannah Owens led MUW with a time of 22:04.50, finishing 30th among 87 competitors. Brianna Brown was the second MUW runner to finish, crossing in 27:56.30 for 76th place. Cassidy Talley, Kamiyah Whiting, and Ketu’rah Johnson finished in 30:28.50, 34:50.90, and 35:23.50, respectively.
The meet was held at Shelby Farms, with both teams competing against a field that included a total of 164 runners across both races, according to event organizers.
