Millsaps Golf’s Miles Harrison Named SAA Co-Athlete of the Week

MILLSAPS COLLEGE — Millsaps junior Miles Harrison was named the Southern Athletic Association Men’s Golf Co-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday, following his performance at the John Nellermoe Classic.

Harrison tied for second after three rounds at Starcke Park Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday. He posted a 2-over-par 214 (70-73-71), setting personal bests for his leaderboard position and 54-hole score. He also recorded 13 birdies during the tournament. His first-round score of 70 matched his all-time collegiate low.

He shares the weekly honor with Southwestern University’s Tyler Rosson, who also finished second at the event. The Millsaps men’s golf team’s next tournament is the Carla Spenkoch Invitational, scheduled for Oct. 12-13 in San Antonio, Texas.
