Davion Carter is living the dream
Davion Carter is an offensive lineman from Noxapater, Mississippi who is in college football lighting it up. He is only the highest ranked interior offensive linemen in the nation straight out of Winston County by way of Pearl. We have seen a lot of great players come out of the state of Mississippi. Here is another guy who is out there representing the Magnolia State very well. From the muddy waters, to our neighbors in Memphis and now all the way in the Lone Star State by way of Texas Tech.
I had the privilege of somewhat growing up with the young brother who made a name for himself at Pearl High School in Rankin County, Mississippi. He is closer to my little brothers’ age, but we definitely know each other well. He comes from a very good family. His dad, Bobby Carter, has offered a lot of great advice to me along my journey of being a man. His mother Brandi Carter is always speaking life into people. He also has a brother by the name of Devin Carter and his sister, Destiny, who is the oldest of the crew. Yes, I am very excited to have the opportunity to write this article.
Carter had a long ride to get to where he is now. His college football days started out at Northwest Community College. He did a good job while he was there and he ended up picking up a scholarship from Memphis. Coming out of high school, a lot of the major college programs were concerned about his height. He has done nothing short of proven that his height does not matter. He can handle business the same way Jeff Saturday was able to handle business when he was on his come up.
Carter really produced while he was at Memphis. While he was there, he was constantly mentioned as one of the best in the nation. Carter has a really solid base that makes it hard for defensive linemen to bully him. We also know him to be an efficient blocker when it is time for pass protect. He is also a young man who has great football intelligence. This is a kid who coaches can trust on the field to know his assignment as well as his teammate right beside him. He is a 6-foot, 295-pound guy that is on a roll right now. His teammates love him. His quarterback can trust him to be a guy who holds it down for them.
You can take a look and see why he is one of the highest graded offensive linemen in the nation. He is simply amazing at what he does. It is not a surprise to know that he is going to be one of the highest drafted offensive linemen in this class. It would not be a surprise to see him quickly learn his new job in the the profession while soon becoming a starter. His efficiency level is clearly high.
