Chris Rodgers has committed to Southern Miss. The 6’1″ 200lb LB has his mind made up. From Corinth, MS to now making Hattiesburg home.
Rodgers received an offer from Southern Miss earlier this year and he was impressed. It wasn’t a shock to me that he chose Southern. Coach Hall has a way of making kids feel welcome.
Chris will definitely be in the weightroom a lot getting his weight up. He comes from a nice homegrown town so he has the toughness to succeed at the next level. He will be an outside LB at the next level. Some would say a hybrid type LB.
This is the only D1 offer Rodgers has received and he took advantage of it. He didn’t waste any time making his decision.
“It feels great,” said Chris Rodgers. “I made the decision because I feel like everything they have to offer is the best for me. It fits me personally off and on the field. I’m trying to become a better person, leader and player.”
