The Sun Belt Conference released its schedule for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season, including nine home games for the University of Southern Mississippi. The Golden Eagles will begin conference play before the new year for the third straight season, hosting James Madison at Reed Green Coliseum on Dec. 19, according to the conference.
Southern Miss will close out 2026 with games at Georgia State on Dec. 31 and at Georgia Southern on Jan. 2. The team returns home to face Coastal Carolina on Jan. 7 and Old Dominion on Jan. 9. They will then host Troy on Jan. 13 before traveling to Arkansas State on Jan. 16.
Conference play resumes at Reed Green Coliseum with a game against ULM on Jan. 20. The Golden Eagles will then visit South Alabama on Jan. 23 and Louisiana Tech on Jan. 28, closing the month with a home game against Louisiana on Jan. 30. In February, Southern Miss visits App State on Feb. 6 and hosts Louisiana Tech on Feb. 11.
The team will travel to Louisiana on Feb. 13, ULM on Feb. 17, and Troy on Feb. 20. The regular season concludes with home games against Arkansas State on Feb. 24 and South Alabama on Feb. 26, according to the schedule.
