HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Southern Miss women’s basketball head coach Missy Bilderback announced the signings of two transfer players for the upcoming 2026-27 season, according to a university release.
Chrysta Narcisse, a guard from South Alabama, joins the Lady Eagles after three seasons with the Jaguars. She redshirted her freshman year and became a regular in the rotation, earning a spot on the 2026 Sun Belt Tournament All-Tournament Team. Narcisse played in all 35 games last season, starting 30. She averaged 8.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 81 assists, and 38 steals per game. Her notable performances include a career-high 24 points in the Sun Belt Tournament against Coastal Carolina.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Chrysta to our family,” Bilderback said. “She is a versatile guard with a high level of competition experience. Her scoring, athleticism, and defensive abilities will be a great addition to our roster.”
Kennedy Langham, from Harvest, Alabama, returns to the South after one season at Butler. She previously played two seasons at Samford, earning second-team All-SoCon honors as a sophomore and being named SoCon Freshman of the Year in 2023-24. Last season, Langham played in all 21 games for Butler, averaging 5.9 points per game and leading the team with 49 free throws. She also recorded seven double-figure scoring games.
“We’re excited to welcome Kennedy to our program,” Bilderback said. “She’s a proven scorer and playmaker with significant Division I experience. Her leadership and defensive skills will have an immediate impact.”
Langham has earned academic honors, maintaining a 3.50 GPA and earning CSC Academic All-District recognition. Her prior two seasons at Samford showcased her as one of the Bulldogs’ top players, with an average of 11.1 points and 3.5 rebounds as a sophomore.
The signing class also includes freshmen Meg Barbour from Jackson, Miss., and Jada Gay from Starkville, Miss. The Lady Eagles continue to build their roster ahead of the 2026-27 season.
