The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced its academic all-conference awards for the spring 2026 sports season, with seven tennis players from MUW earning honors. Four from the men’s team and three from the women’s team were recognized for their academic achievements, the conference said.

Honored from MUW’s men’s roster were sophomore Dylan Barber, junior Alvaro Bardales, Ian Costabel and sophomore Sandro Giangregorio. The women’s recipients included senior Brooklyn Ward, sophomore Alaina Mathis, and senior Emma Horton. All three women are majoring in various fields, including biology, accounting, and kinesiology.

To qualify for the award, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher during their respective semesters of competition. The conference also recognizes the team with the highest average GPA in each sport. These awards cover winter and spring sports, including tennis, baseball, basketball, track and field, and softball.

UMAC officials emphasized that the awards highlight the student-athletes’ dedication to both academics and athletics, according to the conference’s announcement.
