Reid Roberts has been appointed as an assistant coach for the Belhaven University men’s basketball team, the school announced. Roberts brings experience from several NCAA Division I programs, including Louisiana Monroe and Arkansas.
During the 2025-26 season, Roberts served as an assistant coach at Louisiana Monroe under head coach Phil Cunningham. He previously spent two seasons as a graduate assistant with the Warhawks, working under longtime head coach Keith Richard in 2022-23 and again during Richard’s final season in 2024-25.
Roberts also worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas during the 2023-24 season under head coach Eric Musselman. His coaching career began in college as a student manager at Florida International University, where he worked with the Panthers from 2019 to 2022.
In addition to his college coaching experience, Roberts spent time on game-day communications staffs for the Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins from 2019 to 2022. He also worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2017-18 season and served as a communications intern during the team’s 2018 training camp.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Roberts graduated from Brookwood High School in 2017. He earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation and sport management from Florida International University in 2022 and a master’s in sport management from the University of Arkansas in 2024.
