Ole Miss Women’s Basketball to Host NC State in 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge

OLE MISS, Miss. — The SEC and ACC have announced the matchups for the fourth annual SEC/ACC Challenge. Ole Miss women’s basketball will host NC State on Dec. 2, 2026, at the SJB Pavilion, according to the conference.

This will be the sixth meeting between the two programs and the second time they face off on Ole Miss’s home court. The last encounter was in 2024, when NC State edged Ole Miss 68-61 in Raleigh.

Ole Miss is coming off a season where it overcame a 19-point deficit to beat No. 18/19 Notre Dame, 69-62, at the SJB Pavilion. That victory marked the Rebels’ largest comeback in program history. Notre Dame advanced to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight later that season.

NC State finished last season with a 21-11 record and made its ninth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. The Wolfpack is led by head coach Wes Moore, entering his 14th season. Last year, players Khamil Pierre and Zoe Brooks received WBCA All-America Honorable Mention and All-ACC First Team honors.

Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin is in her ninth season at the helm. The Rebels have made five straight NCAA Tournament appearances. The team set a program record with two WNBA draft picks last year and had a quarter of its roster participate in WNBA camps.

For the upcoming season, 10 newcomers join Ole Miss, including transfer Talaysia Cooper, ranked as the No. 4 transfer in the portal by ESPN and USA TODAY. Jada Richard, another transfer, is also highlighted as a top-15 portal recruit. Fans are encouraged to purchase season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign, as the program continues its upward trajectory.
