Ole Miss Volleyball Opens 2026 Season at Home with Invitational

The Ole Miss volleyball team is set to open its 2026 season with the Ole Miss Volleyball Invitational at home in Oxford, Mississippi. The Rebels will face Southeastern Louisiana, Northern Arizona, and Loyola Marymount over the weekend.

The Rebels, who hold an 0-0 record entering the season, will start against Southeastern Louisiana on Friday at 6 p.m. CT. They will then play Northern Arizona on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT and Loyola Marymount on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT. All matches involving Ole Miss will stream live on SEC Network Plus, while neutral-site games will not be streamed, according to the university.

Head coach Bre Henry, now in her third season, aims to build on the team’s recent success, which includes a 20-18 record at home. The team welcomes several key transfers, including All-AAC opposite Jorda Crook from UAB, Houston setter Tenesyn Frye, and All-Sun Belt middle Nina Moorer from Texas State. Five freshmen also join the roster, including middle blocker Ryea Jackson and hitters Jaidyn Hartsfield and Sophie Taylor.

Ole Miss has a long-standing history with Southeastern Louisiana, holding a 3-0 record against the Lions, though the teams haven’t met in 43 years. The Rebels will also face Northern Arizona for the first time and will play Loyola Marymount for just the third time, with LMU currently leading the series 2-0.

Transfer Jorda Crook has made a notable impact, earning two All-AAC First Team honors and accumulating over 800 career kills. The team also aims to strengthen its roster with the addition of freshmen from Texas, who have been heavily recruited by the coaching staff.

Ole Miss’s season includes a challenging schedule with seven teams that participated in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Rebels are also eyeing milestones for players like Shayla Meyer, who is approaching 1,000 career kills and digs, and hopes to set new records in service aces this season.
