Ole Miss Softball Lands Four on NFCA All-South Region Teams

OXFORD, Miss. — The University of Mississippi softball program announced that four players earned spots on the NFCA All-South Region teams, as the organization revealed Thursday.

Freshman Madi George and junior Cassie Reasner earned first-team honors. George is the first Rebel freshman to be named first team in her region, and both players are only the eighth and ninth Rebels in history to receive first-team recognition.

Senior Emilee Boyer made the third team, while sophomore Persy Llamas was named to the second team. Llamas joins an elite group of Rebels with multiple NFCA All-South Region honors, alongside Kylan Becker, Elantra Cox, Lauren Grill, and Jalia Lassiter.

Over the past two seasons, Ole Miss has earned 10 All-Region honors. The four selections in 2026 mark the second-highest total in program history, with six in 2025 setting a record.

The Rebels have contributed to a potent offense, with George, Llamas, and Reasner helping produce a school-record 79 home runs. Their power ranks in the top 25 nationally. Boyer has been a key pitcher, recording 145 strikeouts, ranking ninth in Ole Miss history for a single season.

Ole Miss will open the NCAA Tournament at the Lubbock Regional on Friday, facing Boston University at 1 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ESPNU. Fans are encouraged to join Rebel Rewards, the official loyalty program, via the Ole Miss Sports mobile app for exclusive prizes and experiences.
