Ole Miss Softball Earns 2026 NCAA Tournament Berth in Lubbock Regional
The University of Mississippi softball team has been selected for the 2026 NCAA Tournament, marking the program’s 10th straight appearance. The Rebels will compete in the Lubbock Regional from May 15-17, hosted by Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.
Ole Miss will open the regional against Boston University on Friday at 1 p.m. Central Time. The game will be televised on ESPNU. The Rebels are facing the Terriers for the first time in program history. They will also face Marist for the first time. The Rebels previously met Texas Tech in the 2025 Women’s College World Series.
The Rebels reached the NCAA Tournament after a strong season led by All-SEC players Madi George and Persy Llamas. The team set a program record with 79 home runs, including 21 from George, who set the single-season home run record for Ole Miss. The team made history in 2025 by advancing to its first Women’s College World Series.
