Ole Miss Men’s Golf Ties for Third at NCAA Regional After First Day

The University of Mississippi men’s golf team is in a tie for third place after the first day of the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional at Bermuda Run Country Club, according to school sources.

Ole Miss’s all-conference duo of Cameron Tankersley and Tom Fischer posted strong opening rounds. Tankersley fired a four-under 67 to sit in a tie for third place, while Fischer shot a three-under 68 to tie for ninth. Their efforts helped the team total 278 strokes for the day.

Other Rebels contributed with Collins Trolio shooting an even-par 71 and Cohen Trolio carding a 72. The team will continue competition Tuesday morning for a chance to advance to the NCAA Championships.

The regional features 13 teams vying for qualification, with Ole Miss aiming to improve on its standings as play continues. The Rebels’ next round will be available via live scoring and updates on the team’s social media channels.

Ole Miss men’s golf coach Chris Malloy expressed confidence in his team’s efforts, noting their strong start as a positive sign for the remainder of the tournament.
