Ole Miss Alumnus Jackson Suber Qualifies for 2026 U.S. Open
Jackson Suber, an alumnus of the University of Mississippi, has qualified for the 2026 U.S. Open. The event is scheduled to start June 18 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, according to the U.S. Golf Association.
Suber earned his spot at the qualifying event held at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland. He shot a 65 in the first round, tying for the best score among the field, and followed with a 67 in the second round. His total score of 10-under par secured him first place in the competition and one of four qualifying spots available at his event.
This marks Suber’s second appearance in the U.S. Open, having also qualified in 2024. The former Ole Miss golfer is on a winning streak, recently finishing fourth at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, his first top-five finish in his career.
