Mississippi Valley State to Host Inaugural Youth Coaches Summit and Meet & Greet

Mississippi Valley State University Athletics will host its inaugural Youth Coaches Summit and Meet & Greet on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Arena, according to an MVSU news release.

The free event aims to bring together youth, middle school, high school varsity and junior varsity, and competitive club coaches from across the region. The goal is to promote professional development, networking, and discussions focused on student-athlete growth.

The summit will feature a coach’s roundtable centered on program vision and coaching philosophy. Attendees will hear from MVSU coaches and exchange ideas on leadership and athlete development. Participants will also attend a seminar on recruiting and eligibility, providing guidance on the college recruitment process and academic compliance standards. The session is designed to help coaches prepare their athletes for opportunities at the next level.

Additional activities include community networking opportunities, allowing coaches to connect and share resources. A complimentary meal and refreshments will be provided to all registered participants.
