Mississippi State to Face Georgia Tech in 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge, Announces 2026-27 Schedule
STARKVILLE — The Mississippi State men’s basketball team announced its initial 2026-27 non-conference schedule Friday. The Bulldogs will face Georgia Tech for the third time in four seasons during the SEC/ACC Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Humphrey Coliseum, according to a news release from the school.
Last season, State defeated Georgia Tech 85-73 in Atlanta, led by Josh Hubbard’s 25 points and five assists. The Bulldogs will also host Tennessee Tech on Nov. 2 for their season opener, along with Northwestern State on Nov. 5 and Alabama A&M on Dec. 7, all at Humphrey Coliseum. Additional schedule details will be announced later, the release stated.
The SEC/ACC Challenge begins Dec. 1, with matchups including Arkansas at North Carolina, Auburn at Clemson, and Duke at Florida. On Dec. 2, Georgia Tech will visit Mississippi State, with Alabama hosting Miami, Kentucky at Virginia, and other contests scheduled.
Mississippi State is coached by Chris Jans, who has led the program to the NCAA Tournament in three of his first four seasons. Fans can renew season tickets for 2026-27 at www.HailState.com/tickets.
