Mississippi State Baseball to Play Two Fall Exhibition Games in Biloxi

Mississippi State baseball will play two fall exhibition games against Auburn and Southern Miss in Biloxi, Miss., at Keesler Federal Park, home of the Biloxi Shuckers. The Bulldogs will face Auburn on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. and Southern Miss on Oct. 10 at 2 p.m., with tickets available through the Shuckers’ ticket office, according to the school.

Head coach Brian O’Connor expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting the program’s positive experience in Biloxi last spring. “We’re excited about returning to Biloxi in October,” O’Connor said. “We had an incredible experience down there in March and are looking forward to the opportunity to play baseball in front of our fans from the coast again. I’m proud of the team my staff has assembled and can’t wait to see what we can do against high-level competition like Auburn and Southern Miss.”

Mississippi State is familiar with both opponents. The Bulldogs hosted Auburn for a three-game SEC series at Dudy Noble Field this spring and lead the all-time series 121-100-1. They also played two midweek games against Southern Miss during the 2026 season and hold an 88-45 record in that series.

The program also has a strong history at Keesler Federal Park. The Bulldogs are 9-2 all-time in Biloxi, including an 11-7 victory over Tulane on March 10 in front of 6,112 fans, the second-largest crowd in the stadium’s history.

Biloxi Shuckers general manager Hunter Reed welcomed the teams and fans, saying, “We’re excited to welcome the Bulldogs, Golden Eagles, Tigers and their fans to Keesler Federal Park this fall. These fan bases are some of the most passionate in college baseball, and partnering with Hancock Whitney to continue these games is an honor.”
