Millsaps Volleyball Ranked Sixth in 2026 SAA Preseason Poll

The Millsaps College volleyball program was selected sixth in the 2026 Southern Athletic Association preseason poll, the league announced Thursday. Trinity University received the most points and first-place votes, earning 69 points and five first-place votes to top the poll.

Berry College was close behind, earning 68 points and four first-place votes. Southwestern University placed third with 58 points. Millsaps finished sixth with 33 points in the nine-team conference.

The team will be led by head coach Jaime Fisher, who is entering her 19th season, along with first-year assistant coach Anna Capezzera. The Majors will return sophomore Rachel Zamjahn, who ranked second in the conference with 951 assists in 2025 and was 44th nationally among NCAA Division III players. Senior Sandy Bourgeois also returns after finishing second in the league with 530 digs last season.

Millsaps is scheduled to open its 2026 season on Sept. 1 at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. The team will also co-host the Millsaps/Belhaven Invitational on Sept. 11-12.
