Millsaps’ Luke Bridges Named to 2026 NFF Hampshire Honor Society
IRVING, Texas — Millsaps College senior linebacker Luke Bridges has been named to the 2026 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF announced Wednesday. The honor celebrates student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom.
The 2026 class includes a record 2,596 players from 365 schools. The society recognizes football players with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher across all divisions of college football, making it one of the most comprehensive scholar-athlete initiatives in college sports.
Bridges, who was limited by injuries this season, appeared in seven games and started five. He averaged 7.3 tackles per game, ranking fifth in his conference, and finished with 51 total tackles, placing 17th in the league. He also recorded an interception and earned honorable mention on the 2025 All-SAA team. On Oct. 20, he was named SAA Defensive Athlete of the Week after helping Millsaps beat No. 10 Maryville, 31-21, with six tackles and an interception.
Off the field, Bridges has interned with the Millsaps Sports Information Department and served as a team videographer. He is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a 3.33 GPA and is in his final semester.
Since its creation in 2007, the Hampshire Honor Society has honored more than 15,000 student-athletes from across all college football divisions, with an average GPA of 3.57. The society’s 2026 membership includes 102 schools with at least 10 honorees each, representing all six divisions of college football.
The Hampshire Foundation, which supports the society, is a charitable arm of The Hampshire Companies, a real estate firm based in Morristown, New Jersey. The foundation was founded by Jon F. Hanson, a former NFF chairman.
The NFF, established in 1947, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting amateur football and developing leaders. It oversees various programs, including the College Hall of Fame and the William V. Campbell Trophy. For more information, visit footballfoundation.org.
