Jones College Athletes Earn 2025-26 MACCC Academic Honors
Jones College has announced that 109 student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Academic Honor Roll, according to MACCC Commissioner Steve Martin.
The honor roll recognizes athletes across sports including volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, and softball. Eligibility is based on grades from the fall 2025 and spring 2026 terms, with freshmen and sophomores holding at least 24 cumulative hours qualifying for consideration.
Forty-seven Jones student-athletes received the Distinguished Academic All-MACCC distinction for maintaining a GPA of 3.8 or higher. An additional 62 athletes earned Academic All-MACCC honors with GPAs of 3.25 or better, the MACCC said.
Among those recognized are baseball players Warren Hutchinson and Chase Russell, golfers Bastian Graf, Drew Groscost, and Walker Hall, and soccer players Landen Linares, Jaxon Lindsay, and Andrew Pearce. Softball players Reagan Dale and Gracie Drinkwine, football players William Hodges and Ny’zavion McClendon, and women’s basketball player Mary Kimble Price also made the list, along with numerous other athletes across various sports.
Jones College had 111 players earn academic honors last year, the MACCC noted. The full list of recipients includes students from all athletic programs at the college, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence among its athletes.
