Jackson State Unveils 2026 Volleyball Schedule
Jackson State has released its 2026 volleyball schedule, which includes 14 non-conference matches and nine home games, according to a university news release.
The Tigers finished the 2025 season with a 13-14 record overall and a 12-4 mark in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They will begin their 2026 campaign at the Austin Peay Tournament in Clarksville, Tennessee, facing Kansas City, Austin Peay, and UT Martin in late August.
Non-conference play continues at the North Alabama Tournament, where Jackson State will face North Alabama, UT Martin, and Chattanooga. The team will also compete in tournaments hosted by Southern Miss in Hattiesburg and Lafayette’s Ragin’ Cajuns Classic, facing teams such as Houston Christian, Lamar, Mississippi State, and Louisiana throughout September.
Jackson State opens SWAC play at home against Prairie View A&M on Sept. 25 and Texas Southern on Sept. 27. The team will also travel to face Mississippi Valley State and host Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M in October. A four-match road trip includes games against Alcorn State, Southern University, Alabama A&M, and Alabama State.
The Tigers will host five consecutive matches at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center, beginning Oct. 30 with Grambling State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. They will also face Mississippi Valley, Alabama A&M, and Alabama State in early November. The regular season concludes with a road trip to Florida, playing Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M in mid-November. The SWAC tournament is scheduled for Nov. 20-22 in Montgomery, Alabama.
