Four Mississippi University of Women Golfers Earn Academic All-District Honors
Four golfers from Mississippi University of Women have been named to the Academic All-District® At-Large Teams for the 2025-26 season, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The honorees include two women—Ashley Estabrook and Isabel Velazquez—and two men—Bryce Denley and Alexandre Thery.
Estabrook, a junior from Truckee, California, earned her second consecutive Academic All-District® honor. A three-year letterwinner for the Owls, she has received back-to-back SLIAC All-Academic Team honors and was named to the league’s All-Sportsmanship Team for 2025-26.
Velazquez, a junior transfer from Jefferson State Community College in Daphne, Alabama, finished second-team All-SLIAC after placing 10th at the league’s women’s championships in early October. Denley and Thery, both newcomers this season, contributed to the Owls’ runner-up finish at the SLIAC men’s championships. Denley, a junior transfer from East Central Community College and Talladega College, tied for 12th place and earned All-SLIAC second team honors after returning from a shoulder injury. Thery, a freshman from Charlieu, France, was a first-team All-SLIAC finisher, tying for sixth at the league finals. He also received SLIAC All-Sportsmanship recognition.
The Academic All-District® teams acknowledge the nation’s top student-athletes across all sports that do not have their own dedicated Academic All-District® awards. Recipients must be at least sophomores, maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA, and participate in at least 75% of their team’s competitions or conference championships.
