Elyse Warren Named Region VI D3CA Student-Athlete of the Year
CANTON, Ga. — Elyse Warren, a graduating senior, has been named the 2025-26 Region VI Division III Commissioners Association (D3CA) Student-Athlete of the Year, the organization announced Wednesday.
Warren is one of 20 student-athletes nationwide selected as a regional winner for the 2025-26 awards, which honor seniors who excel in athletics, academics, leadership, and community service. The awards, now in their fourth year, will see regional winners advance to the national ballot for the D3CA’s men’s and women’s sport awards, which will be announced next month.
According to the D3CA, only graduating seniors are eligible for nomination. Each conference could submit up to two nominees per gender, with at least one candidate being an international student or from an ethnic minority background. Selection criteria included academic achievement, athletic performance, service and leadership, and a personal statement. Voting was conducted among commissioners from the 10 Division III regions.
The D3CA was founded in 1992 to foster collaboration among Division III commissioners and to promote the student-athlete experience. It partners with organizations such as the NCAA and NACDA to share resources and best practices, aiming to enhance the development of student-athletes across the country.
