Delta State Rises to No. 4 in NCAA Division II South Region Rankings

The Delta State University baseball team has climbed to No. 4 in the NCAA Division II South Region rankings, announced Monday. The ranking places the Statesmen among the top teams in the region, with six Gulf South Conference schools in the top ten.

Joining Delta State are West Florida (39-13), West Alabama (32-15), Mississippi College (27-24), Lee University (36-17), and Trevecca Nazarene (32-21). Four Sunshine State Conference schools also rank in the top ten, including Tampa (37-8), Rollins (32-13), Nova Southeastern (28-19) and Florida Southern (25-20).

The top eight teams in the South Region will be announced Sunday, with those teams earning spots in the 2026 NCAA Division II National Tournament.
