Delta State Baseball Ranks Fifth in NCAA Division II South Region

The Delta State University baseball team debuted at No. 5 in the NCAA Division II South Region Rankings announced Monday. The rankings include seven teams from the Gulf South Conference.

Joining the Statesmen are West Florida (35-13), West Alabama (32-13), Mississippi College (27-22), Lee University (34-15), Trevecca Nazarene (30-19) and Montevallo (27-23). The remaining three teams are from the Sunshine State Conference in Tampa: Tampa (35-7), Rollins (30-12) and Florida Southern (24-18).

The top eight teams in the South Region will be announced after the conclusion of the SSC conference tournaments and regular season. Those teams will advance to the 2026 NCAA Division II National Tournament, according to NCAA officials.
