Holt earned multiple honors, including All-Region 23, All-Region Tournament, MACJC All-State, and MACJC All-Star selections. She averaged 15.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 41.8% from the field.

At Grambling State, Holt averaged 17 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, ranking as the third-leading scorer in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. She received First Team All-SWAC honors, was named to the SWAC All-Tournament Team, and was selected for the BOXTOROW All-American Team. Holt earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, a master’s in sports administration, and a higher education specialist certificate from William Carey University.

Before joining Southwest, Holt served as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Co-Lin from 2022 to 2024 and at Jackson State University from 2024 to 2026. During her coaching career, she has helped develop five all-conference players and two All-Americans. At Jackson State, Holt contributed to the Tigers’ more than 30 wins and back-to-back top-five conference finishes. She also coached Taleah Dilworth, the 2025 SWAC Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and a First Team All-SWAC selection, who also earned First Team HBCU All-American honors.

Head coach Brent Harris praised Holt, saying, “Alexus will be a great addition to our college, community, and program. She was an outstanding athlete at the highest level and has built a strong reputation as a coach. I am very grateful she chose to join the Southwest family.” Holt expressed enthusiasm about the new role, stating, “Southwest felt like home from the very beginning. The culture, the people, and the vision made this an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. I’m excited to help our student-athletes grow while competing at a high level.”

Holt joins the Lady Bears as Harris enters his 15th year as head coach, bringing her expertise to a program focused on development and success.
