Smithville gets split behind Johnson’s gem to set up winner take all game 3

Smithville picked up a split on Saturday against West Union to set up a winner take all game 3 on the road on Monday.

The Seminoles got a pitching gem from ace Jared Johnson who pitches a complete game 2 hitter to lead the Noles to an 8-1 victory.

Cole Hughey paced the offense with 4 hits including a solo homerun. Tucker Hood added a pair of RBI doubles. Johnson came through with a pair of singles, as did Layne Williams. Presley Keebler contributed an RBI double.

West Union came back to win game two 5-0 to set up the pivotal game three.
