Oxford turns up defensive intensity to get road win at New Albany

The Oxford Lady Chargers found themselves in a hostile environment down 1-0 on the road at New Albany Tuesday night, the home crowd pulsing with energy after a come from behind Lady Bulldog victory in the opening set.

Oxford would not trail again the rest of the night.

The Lady Chargers got 20 digs from Senior Libero Maggie Sudduth and Sophomore Catherine Bianco turned in an all around performance with 16 digs, 24 assists and eight kill in the 3-1 victory.

Sophmore Ainsley Tacke, who put up 3 blocks and 12 kills, had a game clinching kill in the 2nd set to even the score.

The night was ended on a thunderous kill, one of 14 on the night, from Freshman Brianna Lyons.

The victory moved Oxford to 7-2 on the season.
